After graduating in 2003, she performed for the first time under the name Annamateur with her accompanist, Hans Petzold on the piano. In autumn 2003 she founded the formation “Annamateur und Gitarristen” together with Daniel Nikolas Wirtz and Reentko Dirks : this was the compilation of her first CD. In 2005 the jazz cellist Stephan Braun and the guitarist David Sick joined them. “Annamateur and guitarist” became “Annamateur and outside string”. In 2010, Samuel Halscheidt (guitar) and Christoph Schenker (cello) followed, in 2011 Kim Efert (guitar); meanwhile Braun and Schenker take turns on the cello, Halscheidt and Efert on the guitar. In 2012 the current stage program "Screamshots, a musical overhead program for pens, voice, cello and guitar" started. Since April 2012 Annamateur has also been recording radio columns ("Hörschnitzel") for MDR Figaro . In 2013 she started the open-air series “Anna Elbe”, to which she invites artist colleagues to Dresden. In 2015 she published her first self-drawn book.

criticism

  • ... versatile voice and sensitive texts ...
  • ... a singer who surprises as an incomparable antidiva: Her voice is rich in variations, from grief-bacon blues to roaring rock - she is sure to hit every note right in the heart.
  • … Anna-Maria Scholz belongs on the stage. There she stands with the force of a natural event and sings and roars and breathes and moans - and pulls everyone off his stool.
