The Cabinet Prize is a Leipzig cabaret prize awarded since 1999 . It serves to promote East German cabaret.

The prize takes its name from the cigarette brand Cabinet , which organizes the prize together with the satirical magazine Eulenspiegel and the Leipzig laughing fair . It is awarded annually at the Leipzig Laughter Fair in the categories cabaret, comedy and music. Until 2002 the prize categories were soloist, ensemble and newcomer.

The Cabinet Prize is endowed with 2500 euros per category.
