Volly Tanner
Volly Tanner , actually Volker Klaus Tanner (born April 24, 1970 in Halle (Saale) ) is a Leipzig based writer , presenter , journalist , DJ and singer . In literary terms, Tanner locates himself in the underground , in punk rock literature , which is rooted back in the beat generation . He was one of the most important East German representatives of the social beat .
life and work
In Großräschen, Tanner received an apprenticeship as a skilled worker for plant engineering with a high school diploma at the clinker and brickworks. There he founded his first punk band, EinzelHAFT, in 1987. According to the teaching and the service of the People's Navy of the GDR studied Tanner at the Technical School for Construction in Apolda and at the University of Leipzig Building Materials Technology, Business Administration , German and journalism without qualifications.
In the 1990s he was co-editor of the literary magazines rotten schriften (together with Wolfram Teufel and Becks) and ejaculatA . Tanner and the "Spezi Teufel" organized monthly literary shows with punk rock under the label Social Beat in the Villa zu Leipzig since 1995 . From 1996 Tanner also organized the alternative book fair BuchSaboTAGe and, since 1999, the literary series Der durstige pegasus in the Moritzbastei in Leipzig. Since 1996 Volly Tanner toured Germany , Austria and Switzerland with different programs. He was a founding member of the Friedrich Boedecker Circle in Saxony. In 2004 he received the Cabinet Kleinkunstpreis in the cabaret category for Rosenmund and Little Deaths .
Journalistically Tanner did for the LVZ, Blitz! Das Stadtmagazin, sojus, Ohropax, melodie & Rhythmus, Zeit Das Kulturmagazin, Readers Edition, LiTERRA, Leipziger Internet Zeitung, Feigenblatt, FRIZZ - Das Magazin, Die Lokal, Schlawiner written. He also worked under the pseudonyms Shevek Walden, Ray Voltez and Hotte Krauser. He is currently head of the Leipzig franchise magazine "Ahoi".
Together with Pipapo von Seitz, Tanner designed the radio show Rilleralleradio for the Leipzig independent radio station Radio Blau . He moderates music events, literary events and the political-time-critical panel discussion “All clear on the Titanic ?! Leipzig is beautiful! ” And its successor Leipzig questioned together with MDR - JUMP presenter Ulrike Köhler. At Flower Power Leipzig he spins as a DJ during the Come Shot Music series and organizes the discovery show Urban Poetry - The Sound of Cities in the cultural areas of Helheim and Trixom . Tanner has been performing with Francis DD String and the Leipzig all-star band Re.Vision since 2006. In addition to his own texts, Tanner recorded the audio book Faust und Oberton by Michael Meinicke , directed by Thomas Kirsche. Tanner contributed to 150 European literary magazines.
In 2009, after more than 10 years, Tanner put the organizer and presenter work for "Der Durstige Pegasus" in younger hands in order to romp around in other fields. So there was the end of 2009 Lofft Leipzig / theater for alternative culture, Tanner's first play Never again in the silence back to a full house and early 2010 Tanners first photo exhibition in the "Helheim" Leipzig, which also entitled Never again in the silence back wearing . From 2009 Tanner u. a. together with Stahlhofen, Dirk Zöllner, Purple Schulz, Julia Neigel, Sebastian Krumbiegel and Nikolai Thomas for Afghanistan-Kinderhilfe at the annual benefit event in the Leipziger Anker.
Since 2010 Tanner has moderated and organized the monthly literary show "Tanners Terrasse", first at Fauser in Leipzig and since 2011 in "Helheim" in Leipzig. In addition, since the end of 2010 he has been organizing the "Human Friends Show" "Walden am Montag" at the Neue Schauspiel Leipzig, for which he awards the MOMO "Human Friends Prize".
In mid-2011 Volly Tanner founded his own band; Mark Harries & The Aliens, with different instrumentalists for the songs who support him with the interpretation and his performances, for example Manfred Maurenbrecher, Francis DD String (git) or Vicky Wickenhöfer, the singer of Toxic Society on the piano. In addition, in December 2011 Volly Tanner was elected to the board of the Saxon Literature Council, the umbrella organization of Saxon literary associations.
