Kim Efert

Kim Efert (* 1974 in Detmold ) is a German jazz guitarist who has also emerged with world and improvised music.

Act

Efert studied jazz guitar and music education with Werner Neumann and Frank Haunschild at the Cologne University of Music and Dance . He worked with the harmonica player Carlos del Junco and u. a. with Arve Henriksen , Samuel Rohrer and Mike Herting , but also worked as a theater musician. He also toured with Annamateur .

Efert has lived in Berlin since the beginning of 2010. His current projects are the jazz world music quartet East Affair and the trio Kim3 , with whom he works internationally. He can be heard as a musician on the audio books " Die Vermessung der Welt " by Daniel Kehlmann , " Der kleine Nick " and the radio play "Der Hund Bello". He also worked on the soundtrack for the movie Soundless Wind Chime by Kit Hung and the television series Wilsberg . Since summer 2014 he has been teaching jazz guitar at the Detmold University of Music .

Prizes and awards

With the ensemble East Affair is Efert winners of the national competition Creole in 2009 and winner of the NRW Competition Creole of 2008.
