Schwarztal , Slovenian Črni Graben , is a valley in Slovenia in the east of the Upper Carniola ( Gorenjska ). The valley was named after the black stoneware in the Radomlja river . The Black Valley includes the places from Prevoje near Šentvid in the west to Trojane in the east. The current community center is Lukovica .

In the past, people mainly settled the nearby hills because the narrow valley did not offer any settlement. Today 5120 people live in the Schwarztal.
