Trojane (German: Troyn ) is a village and a pass in Slovenia ( Lukovica municipality ).

Trojane also Trojan pass or Troynerpass called because its position under the ridge uçak (609 m) than the lightest transition through the Schwarztal between the Ljubljana Basin (Ljubljanska kotlina) and the Savinja valley (Savinjska).

history

The ancient Romans laid the Aquileia - Emona - Atrans (Trojane) - Celeia road here . The Roman Atrans was an important transportation, military, post and trading post that was surrounded by a fortified wall. In ancient times Trojane was on the border between Pannonia and Noricum . In the Middle Ages, the border between Carniola and Styria ran a little lower and to the east, namely at Zajasovnik. After the road Ljubljana (Laibach) - Vienna was rebuilt in 1720 , it became an important post office with a toll office, which was mentioned as early as 1400.
