Schwehrstein

The Schwehrstein is a Loogfels - a rock on which special notches have been made to mark a boundary . It lies on the boundary between Deidesheim and Königsbach on the Weinstrasse and is listed as an individual monument in the list of monuments of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate .

location

The Schwehrstein is located in the Palatinate Forest on the southern slope of the Stabenberg . It marks the boundary of Deidesheim to the northeast and the boundary of Königsbach (which today belongs to Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) to the southwest. It lies at an altitude of 428 m above sea level. NHN directly on an unpaved driveway, which - as of April 2020 - is in poor condition. Approx. 1.7 km as the crow flies to the southeast is Königsbach.

The cross extended by a small crossbar is the Deidesheimer Waldloogzeichen
The X is a numbering symbol
The 62 is a Königsbach landmark number
