The Schweiker Group is a German manufacturer of windows and doors made of plastic and aluminum and the related by-products. The group's headquarters are in Besigheim-Ottmarsheim ( Baden-Württemberg ).

history

After it was founded by Robert Schweiker in 1931, the company initially dealt with products made of wood, so in 1953 the production of skirting boards and roller shutter profiles made of this material began. The manufacture of plastic roller shutters began as early as 1961 . After the company was handed over to Wilhelm Schweiker in 1969, the product range was expanded both by the production of windows, which began in 1974, and by the takeover of the Awela company in 1980, which produced house door elements.

The group of companies was founded in the 1990s through the establishment of Schweiker GmbH Grünbach in Saxony in 1991, the new extrusion building in Ottmarsheim in 1996, the establishment of the branch in Oberwildflecken (Bavaria, 1997) and the factory in Braunsbedra (Saxony-Anhalt, 1998 ) expanded.

In July 2006 the Schweiker Group bought two construction element plants in Leopoldshöhe and Großkugel from Schüco KG in Bielefeld (North Rhine-Westphalia) . Both plants were established under the name “BE Bauelemente” as an independent company in the Schweiker Group. Since then, extensions and new buildings have been made at the various locations.

In addition to windows and doors, roller shutter systems, electrical window and roller shutter controls as well as products for burglar resistance, ventilation and insect protection, as well as folding-sliding systems and lifting-sliding systems are manufactured.
