The 1st Swiss Futsal Championship began on November 26, 2006 and ended on February 25, 2007.
First Futsal -Schweizermeister was the Uni Futsal Team Bulle. In the following season the National League B was founded, so there were four relegated teams with FC Porrentruy, GS 1024 Futsal Ecublens, SC Maria da Fonte Zurich and Swiss United. The first two named together with FC Black Stars dissolved the futsal department after the season, so that only six teams participated in group west and seven in group east for the 2007/08 season.
18 teams took part, it was the first official futsal championship in Switzerland. Before that, there was only one unofficial championship.
GS 1024 Futsal Ecublens set a negative record. In eight games, all of which were lost, Ecublens conceded 477 goals.
David Meyer from Uni Futsal Team Bulle was the top scorer with 37 goals.
A total of 18 teams took part in the qualification, divided into two groups of nine teams each (West and East). Each team played one game against each group opponent, so each team played a total of eight games.
The two best teams in each group qualified for the semi-finals, the two semi-final losers then played the game for third place, the winners the final. The game for third place was only carried out this season, from the 2007/2008 season it was no longer played.
