International Music Festival Český Krumlov
The International Music Festival Český Krumlov ( Mezinárodní hudební festival Český Krumlov ) is a music festival in the Czech Republic that has been taking place in various locations in Český Krumlov since 1992 in July and August . The musical palette includes genres from the 15th to the 21st century. The music festival is a member of the Association of Music Festivals of the Czech Republic.

IMF Český Krumlov is a multi-genre music event, which distinguishes it from other festivals in the Czech Republic and appeals to a wider range of target groups. The genres represented include operas , symphony concerts and chamber music concerts of classical music, jazz , but also folklore , world music and rock . The events include country evenings, opera gala concerts, lectures and choir concerts. In cooperation with the Český Krumlov State Castle and Chateau, there is an experimental baroque performance in the baroque theater .

Conductors and orchestras
The Czech Philharmonic, the Prague Symphony and the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra played under the direction of conductors Gerd Albrecht , Vladimír Válek , Vladimír Askhenazy , Jiří Bělohlávek , Ondrej Lenárd and Maxim Šostakovič .
Other genres
Jazz musicians Maynard Ferguson , James Morrison and New York Voices from other musical genres presented themselves in Český Krumlov . Czechoslovak artists were the Eben, Hradišťan , Elán and Čechomor brothers .
2010 program
In 2010, 17 concerts were held at IMF Český Krumlov, with three orchestras, ten chamber orchestras and ensembles and around 24 artists performing. An opera production was staged in front of the rotating auditorium. The musical spectrum included baroque, classical, romantic, jazz and musicals. Participants included tenor José Cura , violinists Gidon Kremer and Vadim Gluzman and trumpeter James Morrison.
