Dagmar Pecková
Dagmar Pecková (born April 4, 1961 in Medlešice near Chrudim ) is a Czech opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).
Life
Dagmar Pecková completed her vocal studies at the Prague Conservatory . Since 1985 she worked at the opera studio of the Semperoper . In 1989 she moved to the Berlin State Opera as a member of the ensemble . Pecková has performed at the Salzburg Festival , the Bavarian State Opera , the National Theater in Prague , the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden , the Saxon State Opera Dresden, the Hamburg State Opera, the Stuttgart State Theater and the Zurich Opera House .
In 2000 she had a role in the world premiere of the opera L'amour de loin at the Salzburg Festival .
She won first prize at the Prague Spring and the Dvořák competitions and, in 1999, the Thalia Prize.
Pecková is married to a German and lives in Heuweiler near Freiburg.
