The 7th Swiss Futsal Championship began on September 30, 2012 and ended on February 17, 2013.
As of this season there were three leagues. A nationwide league was created above National League A, the Swiss Futsal Premier League (SFPL) with the eight best teams in the country. In the National League A there was still a division into East and West, with eight teams each. The now third-class National League B continued to consist of six groups with eight teams each. So there were now 72 teams in Switzerland (68 in the previous season).
Futsal Minerva was able to defend the title and win the first title in the newly founded SPFL. In the final, the Futsal Maniacs were beaten 7-2. Thus Futsal Minerva rose next to the Futsal Löwen Zurich to the record champions with two titles each. Benfica Rorschach, on the other hand, was the first team that was relegated from the SFPL to the NLA.
The hat trick in terms of top scorer's crown was achieved by the Swiss international Sego Mato from MNK Croatia 97. After 2009/10 and 2011/12 he secured first place again with 23 goals.
The new league also changed the mode. The eight teams have now competed against each other twice. The first four teams qualified for the playoff semi-finals (two-legged), the eighth-placed was relegated to the NLA.
