Swiss Futsal Championship 2019/20
The 14th Swiss Futsal Championship began on September 28, 2019 and ended prematurely on March 12, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
Again there were two climbers. Geneva Futsal returned to the top division as champions of the NLA after four years. The NLA finalist MNK Kuna Küssnacht benefited from the withdrawal from the two-time runner-up FC Silva and rose to the SFPL for the first time in the club's history. Shortly before the start of the season, the 2018 RCD Futsal champion also withdrew, due to the short term, no new team was accepted. After the start of the second half of the season, Kuna Küssnacht also withdrew. All games were canceled and scored 0-0. So both relegated to the newly founded Swiss Futsal Second League were certain.
After the abolition of the playoffs in the Swiss Futsal Championship 2018/19 , they were reintroduced this season. The first eight teams should have made it to the quarter-finals. All play-offs would have been in the best-of-three mode . However, since the season was canceled early, the playoffs did not take place. The championship was canceled and there is no 2019/20 champion. Futsal Minerva were at the top of the table at the time. As the defending champion had the highest points / match coefficient, the Bern club was granted the right to take part in the 2020/21 UEFA Futsal Champions League .
At the time of the cancellation, Fernando Manuel da Silva was at the top of the scorers list, this time as a player for FC Semailles. He scored 34 times in 15 games.
Swiss Futsal Premier League - 2019/20
With the two withdrawals, both relegated members were determined. The championship was canceled, so no team was crowned champions.
