The Swiss Master Builders Association (SBV) is the employers' association of master builders in Switzerland . He is the national professional, business and employers' organization of the enterprises of the construction and civil engineering and related branches of the construction industry .
History and organization
The SBV has existed since 1897 and is organized as an association . From 1897 to 1905, the association was headed from the seat of the suburban section (1897–1899 Bern, 1899–1902 Lucerne, 1902–1905 Basel). In 1905 the suburban system was replaced by a permanent central secretariat based in Zurich .
For members of the French-speaking Switzerland is in Lausanne own office, at the same time the business of Romandy lead. The Ticino Section's secretariat is in Bellinzona .
The central board is the highest management body of the SBV. It consists of the Central President, a representative of the Infrastructure Association and representatives of the seven regions of French-speaking Switzerland, Ticino, Canton Bern, Northwestern Switzerland, Central Switzerland, Zurich-Schaffhausen and Eastern Switzerland. French-speaking Switzerland is the only region entitled to two representatives on the central board. With the exception of the central president (election by the general assembly), the members of the central board are elected by the assembly of delegates. Gian-Luca Lardi has been the central president of the SBV since 2015.
Core business and association policy
Together with its sections, professional associations and groups, the SBV represents the inter-company interests of its members in the state, in the economy and in public and is particularly involved in the areas of employer policy, economic policy and vocational training policy.
The SBV also regularly negotiates the state shell contract , the collective labor contract for the main construction trade, with the unions . The first state shell contract for civil engineering, carpentry, stone cutting and quarrying dates back to 1938. On December 9, 2015, the social partners agreed to extend the current contract by three years until the end of 2018 with small adjustments.
The organ of the association is the construction journal "Schweizer Bauwirtschaft", founded in 1901. It has been published monthly since January 2016 (previously every fortnight) and contains articles in German, French and Italian. The "Swiss Construction Industry" is also the official organ of the SBV specialist groups Infra Suisse, Swiss natural stone producers, Association of Swiss Hard Stone Quarries, Association of Swiss Paving Masters, Association of Swiss Track Construction Entrepreneurs, interest group of Switzerland. Parquet industry, Swiss Association for Building Protection - Plastic Technology in Construction and Swiss Association of Concrete Drilling and Concrete Cutting Companies.
