Schyliwka ( Ukrainian Шилівка , Russian Шиловка Schilowka ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with 730 inhabitants (2004).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1764, is located on the banks of the 69 km long river Hrun (Ukrainian: Грунь , river system Psel ) in the center of Sinkiw Raion on the territorial road T – 17-06 8 km south of Sinkiw Raion center and about 70 km north of the Oblast capital Poltava .
Schyliwka is the administrative center of the same, 56.002 square kilometer district community to which even the villages Wassylkowe ( Василькове ⊙ ) with about 30 population, Dowbniwka ( Довбнівка ⊙ ) with about 30 population, Knjaschewa Sloboda ( Княжева Слобода ⊙ ) with about 80 population, Manyliwka ( Манилівка ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants, Odradiwka ( Одрадівка ⊙ ) with about 30 inhabitants, Petrivka ( Петрівка ⊙ ) with about 210 inhabitants and Chrypky ( Хрипки ⊙ ) with about 70 inhabitants.
