scopeArchiv is archive software used by government, church and business archives, libraries and documentation centers in ten countries.
Development history
Kilcher Information Systems developed business administration software for large companies and public administration, primarily in the Swiss cantons of Basel-Stadt and Zurich. The code went to Scope Information Systems, which developed the modular archive software scopeArchiv as part of the PRISMA project of the Basel-Stadt State Archives. In 2000 the rights were transferred to scope solutions ag.
function
scopeArchiv is a modular and freely configurable software . It covers all work areas in an archive from the archival indexing to the loan by Internet users using the scopeQuery module . The standard solution scopeArchiv follows the archive standards ISAD (G) , ISAAR (CPF) and ISDIAH. The system exports in the formats apeEAD ( Europeana / APEx ), EAD– DDB , OAI-PMH , XML, XLS and via SRU .
The application is available in Arabic, German, English, French, Dutch, Romanian, Hungarian and Slovenian and can be expanded into the scopeOAIS and scopeBusiness suites.
scopeOAIS
The software suite scopeOAIS (scopeArchiv, expanded by the modules scopeQuery and scopeIngest ) enables the transfer, conversion, storage and playback of digital data according to OAIS ( ISO 20652). scopeOAIS functions as an interface between the unit of description and common repositories such as Fedora Repository , DIAS (Dynamic Inventory Analysis System), DigiTool and the like. a. scopeOAIS supports both ingest and preservation workflows using different database profiles. scopeIngest handles Submission Information packages (SIP). This SIP can be taken over via various interfaces ( ftp , http , fileshare ). The packages are accepted in a container format ( .zip , .tar ).
scopeOAIS takes Dublin Core , PREMIS , as well as the delivery standards XDOMEA, XBARCH, XISADG and eCH –0160 into account.
