Score!

Score! was a four-piece Hamburg rock band that existed from 1999 to 2001.

Band history

The beginnings of Score! go back to 1997. At that time the band came together under the name "Am kahlen Aste". In 1999 the group had found its final occupation. The same year the band took part in a Germany-wide band competition organized by the music producer Berman Brothers . She won the competition and was invited to New York to record . After signing a record deal with Sony Music in December 1999, the band recorded their first album under the new name Score! on. At that point all band members were seventeen years old.

In March 2000 the first single "Du kann mich mal" was released. The video for the single ran several times on the music channel VIVA . The band appeared on television and radio. By the magazine Bravo score were! acted as a big newcomer. In June 2000 the single "Tell me why" was published, but it could not build on the success of the first single. In August, the band's album “This is just the beginning” hit the German charts with its release. In September 2000 the third and final single was the ballad “Now you lie next to me”. A tour of Germany followed . Musically, score !, who sang exclusively in German, were repeatedly compared to "Die Ärzte" . Score! released three singles, an album and three video clips until they were dissolved in late 2001.
