Scotland Edge is a notch on Adelaide Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Wright Peninsula , it lies between the western end of Stork Ridge and Mount Badger Buttress to the south. In the middle of the gap is the 300 m high rock ledge Jim Buttress .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named her in 2001 after Patricia Scotland, Baroness Scotland of Asthal (* 1955), the first colored crown attorney in the United Kingdom , who from 1999 as Under Secretary of State in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for the interests of the British overseas territories was responsible.
