The Badger Buttress ( English for badger pillar ) is a single, pointed mountain on the Adelaide Island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises northwest of Reptile Ridge on Ryder Bay .
Aerial photographs were taken between 1956 and 1957 during the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave it its descriptive name in 2004 based on the white snow gutters that alternate with dark ledges on the mountain.
