Scott Garland (born July 2, 1970 in Westbrook , Maine ), better known as Scotty 2 Hotty , is an American wrestler .
Career
Beginnings
Scott Garland made his wrestling debut as a lightweight in 1988. He made his first wrestling experience under the name Scott Taylor in the East Coast Wrestling Association . Although he was successful there, Garland was not allowed to hold a title.
In 1993 he appeared for the first time in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), but only as a jobber .
World Wrestling Federation / World Wrestling Entertainment
1998-2001
After 5 years as a job, the WWF recognized his talent and signed him permanently in 1998. He was named "Too Hotty" Scott Taylor . He was first put in a tag team with Grandmaster Sexay , which went under the name Too Much .
A little later, Too Much was renamed Too Cool and they were given rikishi as a kind of mentor . In the fall of 1999, Grandmaster Sexay injured his ankle and had to pause, while Scott Taylor was allowed to compete as a single player in the lightweight division and even let him win the Lightheavyweight Champion belt on April 17, 2000 . However, he lost it again just a week later.
Then his partner Grandmaster Sexay returned to the ring and Too Cool picked up where they left off. On May 29, 2000, the two were able to win the WWF Tag Team title . They held him until June 25, 2000. After this title run, fate struck Scott Taylor too, he injured his Achilles tendon and had to take a year off.
2001-2007
He came back at the end of 2001, but during his hiatus his partner Grandmaster Sexay was fired due to a drug scandal, so he was renamed Scotty 2 Hotty and put on a tag team with Albert (now Tensai) under the name Zoo Crew . The two received a small push , which was not enough for the tag team title.
In May 2002 Scotty 2 Hotty injured himself again, this time on the neck, which meant that he had to pause for another year. He made another comeback in April 2003, but in his absence the World Wrestling Federation has renamed itself World Wrestling Entertainment and divided its roster into two shows, RAW and SmackDown ! He was sent to SmackDown! and revived Too Cool , this time in the form of Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi.
Together they won the WWE Tag Team title on February 4, 2004 and lost it again on April 20, 2004. After that, however, Rikishi was injured, while his contract with the WWE expired and the WWE decided not to renew him. Since then, Scotty 2 Hotty has only been on SmackDown individually! traveling, mainly in the Cruiserweight Division (modified lightweight division). On May 18, 2007, he was released from the WWE.
Independent
On July 13, 2008, he signed a contract with the Chaotic Wrestling Promotion . In November 2009 Garland was hired by the Irish promotion American Wrestling Rampage and took part as their new commitment at the end of November on the league's Germany tour.
