action

Scene I.

The entrepreneur Ebenezer Scrooge is not easy to get along with , and his employee Bob Cratchitt doesn't have it easy with him either. Scrooge leaves his office on Christmas Eve to go home.

Scene II. Marley's Ghost shows Scrooge Visions of himself in Christmas Past

When Scrooge arrived at his front door, the head of the deceased Marley suddenly appeared in place of an ornament on the door . But as unexpected as it appeared, it disappears again. Scrooge, still terrified, opens the front door and goes into his home. He goes to his bedroom. He still shows fears and shrinks back several times from his own walls. He puts on an evening coat, sits tiredly at a small table, has a soup and collapses, exhausted. Then suddenly the spirit of Marley appears to him in full form. This shows him pictures of his past. Scrooge once had a girlfriend and was happy.

Scene III. Visons of Christmas Present - Bob Cratchitt and Fred drink "to Mister Scrooge!"

Next, the ghost shows him what he has missed and does not want to see during this year's Christmas. His employee Bob Cratchitt celebrates Christmas with his family with drinks and a toast to Scrooge's well-being. One of his children is little Tim , who is sick and weak and has to walk on crutches . Scrooge's nephew Fred is also celebrating Christmas and is happy. He too toasts his uncle's well-being.

Scene IV. The Christmas that might be - Marley's ghost shows Scrooge his own Grave and the death of Tiny Tim

Marley shows Scrooge what Christmas will be like in the future. He leads him to his extremely simply designed grave. Scrooge collapses at the grave, remorseful and desperate. Finally the dead Tiny Tim can be seen lying in bed and how his mother mourns for him.
