The distribution area extends across Germany , especially the federal state of Baden-Württemberg , where the company has its own networks and is expanding them there. history
The company was founded in 1987 as a system and software house specializing in applications for public institutions as Sontheimer Datentechnik GmbH in Aalen .
In 1995 the company was one of the first internet service providers to operate nationwide. In parallel, applications were developed for libraries and ministries of justice.
In 2006, Sontheimer Datentechnik GmbH was converted into SDT.Net AG and the foundation stone was laid for further activity on the Germany-wide telecommunications market.

SDT.Net AG is concentrating on the further expansion of high-performance data networks based on VDSL2 vectoring ( FTTC ) and fiber optic ( FTTB ) in Baden-Württemberg, especially in the area between Stuttgart , Aalen and Ulm .
Network and expansion
The own telecommunications network of SDT.Net AG extends in Baden-Württemberg between Stuttgart, Aalen and Ulm, which is based on NGN technology .
