La Baconnière is a French commune with 1,923 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mayenne and the canton of Ernée (until 2015: canton of Chailland ). The inhabitants are called Baconnériens .
geography
La Baconnière is about fifteen kilometers north-northwest of Laval . La Baconnière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Hilaire-du-Maine and Chailland in the north, Andouillé in the east, Saint-Ouën-des-Toits in the south and Le Bourgneuf-la-Forêt in the west.
