Montenay is about 33 kilometers north-northwest of Laval . Montenay is surrounded by the neighboring communities Ernée in the north and west, Saint-Denis-de-Gastines in the north and northeast, Vautorte in the east, Chailland and Saint-Hilaire-du-Maine in the south and Juvigné in the southwest.
