Saint-Léger church

Saint-Léger (also: Saint-Leger-en-Charnie ) is a French municipality with 308 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mayenne and the canton of Meslay-du-Maine (until 2015: canton of Sainte-Suzanne ). The inhabitants are called Légéréens .

Geographical location

Saint-Léger is located about 23 kilometers east of Laval and about 49 kilometers west-northwest of Le Mans on the Vaige . Saint-Léger is surrounded by the neighboring communities Livet in the north, Châtres-la-Forêt in the northeast, Sainte-Suzanne-et-Chammes in the south and east, Vaiges in the south and southwest and La Chapelle-Rainsouin in the west.
