Javron-les-Chapelles is a French commune with 1,378 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mayenne and the canton of Villaines-la-Juhel (until 2015: canton of Couptrain ). The inhabitants are called Javronnais . It is an access community associated with the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park .

Javron-les-Chapelles is about 24 kilometers northeast of Mayenne . Javron-les-Chapelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities Neuilly-le-Vendin in the north, Saint-Aignan-de-Couptrain in the northeast, Saint-Cyr-en-Pail in the east, Villepail in the east and southeast, Crennes-sur-Fraubée in the South-east, Le Ham in the south, Charchigne in the west, Chevaigné-du-Maine in the west and north-west and Madré in the north-west.
The National Route 12 runs through the municipality .
history
On January 1, 1973, the previously independent municipalities Javron and Les Chapelles were merged to form today's municipality.
