Saint-Ellier-du-Maine is a French municipality with 510 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mayenne and the canton of Gorron (until 2015: canton of Landivy ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Elliénois .

Saint-Ellier-du-Maine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pontmain in the north, Saint-Mars-sur-la-Futaie in the north-east, Montaudin in the south and east, Larchamp in the south and south-west, Le Loroux in the west, Landéan in the west and north-west and La Bazouge-du-Désert in the north-west.
