Oisseau is a French commune with 1,184 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mayenne and the canton of Gorron (until 2015: canton of Mayenne-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Oisseliens .

Oisseau is about 35 kilometers north-northeast of Laval city center . Oisseau is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Pas in the north, Ambrières-les-Vallées in the north and north-east, La Haie-Traversaine in the east, Parigné-sur-Braye in the south and south-east, Saint-Georges-Buttavent in the south and south-west, Châtillon- sur-Colmont in the west and Saint-Mars-sur-Colmont in the west and north-west.
