Gesvres is a French municipality with 519 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mayenne and the canton of Villaines-la-Juhel . The inhabitants are called Gesvrois .
geography
Gesvres is located about 39 kilometers east-northeast of Mayenne and about 20 kilometers west-southwest of Alençon . The parish is part of the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park . Gesvres is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pré-en-Pail-Saint-Samson in the north and north-west, Saint-Pierre-des-Nids in the north and north-east, Saint-Léonard-des-Bois in the east and south-east, Saint-Paul-le- Gaultier in the south and southeast, Averton in the south and west and Crennes-sur-Fraubée in the northwest.
