Saint-Pierre-des-Nids is located about 38 kilometers east-northeast of Mayenne and about 14 kilometers west-southwest of Alençon . The parish is part of the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park . Saint-Pierre-des-Nids is surrounded by the neighboring communities Boulay-les-Ifs and Champfrémont in the north, Ravigny in the north-east, La Ferrière-Bochard in the east and north-east, Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei in the east and south-east, and Saint-Léonard -des-Bois in the south, Gesvres in the south and west and Pré-en-Pail-Saint-Samson in the west and northwest.
