La Haie-Traversaine is a French municipality with 472 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mayenne and the canton of Lassay-les-Châteaux (until 2015: canton of Ambrières-les-Vallées ). The inhabitants are called the Traversainois .
geography
La Haie-Traversaine is located about 35 kilometers north-northeast of the city center of Laval on the Mayenne . La Haie-Traversaine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ambrières-les-Vallées in the north, Saint-Loup-du-Gast in the north-east, Saint-Fraimbault-de-Prières in the east and south-east, Mayenne in the south, Parigné-sur-Braye in the south-west as well as Oisseau in the west.
