Charchigné is a French municipality with 481 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . The municipality belongs to the canton of Lassay-les-Châteaux (until 2015: canton of Le Horps ) and the arrondissement of Mayenne . The inhabitants are called Charchignéens .

Charchigné is located about 55 kilometers northwest of Le Mans . Charchigné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chevaigné-du-Maine in the north, Javron-les-Chapelles in the east and north-east, Le Ham in the south-east, Le Ribay in the south, Le Horps in the west and south-west and Lassay-les-Châteaux in the west and north-west .
