Belgeard is a French municipality with 616 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mayenne and the canton of Lassay-les-Châteaux (until 2015: canton of Mayenne-Est ). The inhabitants are called Belgeardais .

Belgeard is about 33 kilometers north-northeast of Laval . Belgeard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Bazoge-Montpinçon in the north and northwest, Aron in the north and northeast, Jublains in the east, Montourtier in the south, Commer in the west and southwest and Moulay in the northwest.
