Châtres-la-Forêt is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Évron with 781 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Castériens .
The municipality of Châtres-la-Forêt merged with Évron and Saint-Christophe-du-Luat on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Évron. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Châtres-la-Forêt belonged to the Arrondissement Mayenne and the canton of Évron .
geography
Châtres-la-Forêt is about 26 kilometers east-northeast of Laval . The municipality of Châtres-la-Forêt was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Évron in the north and east, Sainte-Suzanne in the south-east, Chammes in the south, Saint-Léger in the south-west, Livet in the west and Saint-Christophe-du-Luat in the west and north-west.
