The Canton Chailland was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Laval , in Mayenne and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town was Chailland . Claude Tarlevé ( DVD ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2011 to 2015 .

The canton of Chailland was on average 156 meters above sea level, between 52 meters in Andouillé and 224 meters in Juvigné.

The canton was in the west of the Mayenne department. It bordered the canton Ernée in the north, the canton Mayenne-Ouest in the northeast, the canton Mayenne-Est in the east, the canton Argentré in the southeast, the cantons Laval-Nord-Est and Loiron in the south and the west the Ille-et-Vilaine department.
