The canton of Laval-Nord-Est was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Laval , in Mayenne and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town was Laval . Olivier Richefou ( AC ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2011 to 2015 .

The canton Laval-Nord-Est was at an altitude of 42 meters in Laval and 159 meters in Changé.
It was located in the center of the Mayenne department and bordered the cantons of Loiron and Saint-Berthevin to the west, the canton Chailland to the north, the canton Argentré to the northeast and east and the cantons Laval-Est, Laval-Nord-Ouest to the south and Laval-Sud-Ouest.

history
The canton Laval-Nord-Est existed in this form from 1973 to 2015 when it was created when the canton Laval-Est was divided into the cantons Laval-Est and Laval-Nord-Est. This canton Laval-Est was created in 1801 after the division of the canton Laval into the cantons Laval-Ouest and Laval-Est.
