The canton of Laval-Est was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Laval , in Mayenne and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town was Laval .

The canton Laval-Est was between 33 meters in Entrammes and 122 meters in Laval.

The canton was in the center of the Mayenne department. It bordered the cantons Laval-Nord-Ouest and Laval-Nord-Est in the north, the cantons Laval-Saint-Nicolas and Argentré in the east, the canton Meslay-du-Maine in the south-east, and the canton Grez- en-Bouère, to the southwest to the canton of Château-Gontier-Ouest and to the west to the cantons of Laval-Sud-Ouest and Saint-Berthevin.

history

The canton was created in 1801 from the merger of the municipality of Entrammes, which until then belonged to the canton of Parné (today Parné-sur-Roc), and part of the city of Laval. With the exception of the years 1973–1982, when the canton was named Laval-Sud-Est, it was known under the name Laval-Est until its dissolution in 2015 .
