Sea-Land Corporation

The Sea-Land Corporation was an American shipping company.

The Sea-Land Corporation was founded by Malcom McLean and was one of the pioneers in container shipping . From 1988 it was part of the CSX Corporation , which it sold to the Danish AP Møller-Mærsk group in 1999 . The ships operate under the common name Mærsk Line .

In January 2014, Mærsk announced that it would again set up an independent shipping company under the name SeaLand, which will operate domestic American services from January 2015.
