The Sea Serpent Cove ( English for sea snake bay ) is a small bay on the west coast of Candlemas Island in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands . It is located 1.5 km southeast of Vulcan Point and connects the Medusa Pool with the South Atlantic .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations charted it from the Discovery II in 1930 and gave the bay its name.
