Seawalkers
Seawalkers is a currently three-part series of novels by Katja Brandis that has been published by Arena Verlag since 2019 .
Emergence
The author was already successful with the six-part series Woodwalkers, which was written from 2016 to 2019 . The plot of the Seawalkers novels is based on this. The third volume, Wilde Wellen , was published in 2020. Like the predecessor series Woodwalkers , the novel series will comprise a total of six volumes.

The main character is Tiago, a Seawalker. Seawalkers are people who, with a little practice, can switch between their human and animal forms at will. Seawalkers are aquatic animals and Woodwalkers are land animals. The Woodwalker's and Seawalker's highest law is to keep their existence secret from ordinary people.
Dangerous Figures (Volume 1)
Tiago grows up with his uncle Johnny in the US state of Florida . He finds out that he is a Seawalker and that he can transform into a tiger shark . Uncle Johnny, also a Seawalker, asks him to go to a recently established boarding school specifically and exclusively for Woodwalkers and Seawalkers. Arrived at the Blue Reef High School, the Puma converter Carag shows up with a special order. Tiago and his crush Shari should accompany him in search of the rare Florida panthers in the Everglades.
Rescue for Shari (Volume 2)
Tiago is allowed to stay at Blue Reef High School for the time being. There he clashes with the shady lawyer Lydia Lennox. He tries to track down the rubbish gangsters who poison nature reserves. During a human study trip to Miami there is the final, where he has to save his dolphin friend Shari from great danger.
Wild Waves (Volume 3)
Numerous reptile migrants from the Everglades have recently started going to Blue Reef High and a hurricane is building off the coast of Florida. The students have to flee the school and when they return Blue Reef High is in dire condition. To finance the repairs, they have to open the school to visitor days. Tiago is caught as a tiger shark by shady people who organize illegal exhibition fights against sharks by divers. When he and the other two captured sharks get to Blue Reef High, the reptile converters demolish the school. Tiago and his classmates have to recapture them.
Popular success
The first volume, Dangerous Gestalten, and the second volume, Rescue for Shari , made it into the TOP 3 of the Spiegel 's bestseller list for young people . The book made it to first place in the Die Zeit LEO bestseller list in March 2020.
