Kaare Bjerkø

Kaare Bjerkø (born November 12, 1965 in Aarhus ) is a Danish composer .

Life

Kaare Bjerkø is a self-taught musician. He studied music at the University of Copenhagen and completed a master's degree in experience management at the University of Roskilde . Since the 1980s he has worked as a musician for various bands such as Love Shop and Sweethearts as well as musicians such as Lars HUG . From 1994 he worked as a resident composer at the Aveny-T Theater and wrote the music for many plays. The connections there also gave me the opportunity to write music for student films by Den Danske Filmskole .

Bjerkø made his debut as a film composer with several short films in the mid-1990s. Since then he has been responsible for the music of over 30 film and television productions and has been nominated for the Robert as Best Composer several times . He has worked with directors such as Henrik Ruben Genz , Åke Sandgren and Søren Kragh-Jacobsen .
