Åke Sandgren
Åke Sandgren (born May 13, 1955 in Umeå , Sweden ) is a Danish - Swedish film director , screenwriter and film producer .
Life
Sandgren studied philosophy and film studies at Stockholm University from 1976 to 1979 . He then moved to Denmark , where he studied directing from 1979 to 1982 at the Den Danske Filmskole film school. Since graduating, he has worked for both Swedish and Danish film . His most successful films include the dramas Valby - The Secret in the Moor , Die Schleuder and Fluerne på væggen , for which he was either awarded or nominated for the Danish Robert Film Prize and the Swedish Guldbagge Film Prize .
