Theis and Nico ( Danish Bror, min bror ) is a Danish short film by Henrik Ruben Genz , which was nominated for an Oscar in 2000 .
action
The brothers Theis, 9, and Nico, 6, are playing basketball in a new housing estate when Nico finds a postcard. The card shows the movie poster for Gone with the Wind and Nico asks Theis what they are doing there. “Kissing,” replies Theis, who claims he can already kiss. Nico would like to be shown this and conveniently they meet Giinjha. She is celebrating her ninth birthday today. The three introduce themselves, but there is no kiss.
A little later, Nico receives a birthday invitation, and it is Theis who is in love with Giinjha. First Theis wants to prevent Nico from going for his birthday, but after Nico's dangerous escape attempt, he changes his mind and helps him with his hair. But Nico has no present, but Theis knows that you give a girl who is nine years old a kiss. He explains in detail to Nico what to do and delivers it to Giinjha's front door. But a little later, Nico comes back to Theis and explains to him that Giinjha actually wanted to invite Theis, but had mixed up the names. The boys go to the party together, where Nico now expects his older brother to kiss Giinjha. He does that too, which brings him the applause of his brother and the other guests, fortunately also a smile from Giinjha. Then everyone dance and give each other a lot of kisses.
