The only Sultan Challenger in 2020 was a tennis tournament , which from 9 to 15 March 2020 in only Sultan took place. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2020 and was played indoors on a hard court.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 48 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The 16 seeded players in the singles received a bye in the first round.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic , the participants of some nations, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy as well as China, Japan and Taiwan were refused entry. In the case of the first three, the players did not leave until after the tournament had started, as otherwise they were threatened with quarantine in Kazakhstan. A little later the tournament was canceled.
