Timur Chabibulin ( Tatar Тимур Хәбибуллин , scientific transliteration Timur Xäbibullin , English transcription: Timur Khabibulin ; born August 2, 1995 in Tashkent ) is a Kazakh - Uzbek tennis player of Tatar origin.

Career

Timur Chabibulin has only played on the lower class tournaments of the ITF Future Tour and ATP Challenger Tour on the Profit Tour . At the beginning of his career he played for Uzbekistan, from 2011 he finally played for Kazakhstan. So far he has won four double titles on the Future Tour. He celebrated his first success on the Challenger Tour in 2016 in Astana . Together with his compatriot Oleksandr Nedowjessow they prevailed in the doubles competition and were able to beat the top seeded pairing Michail Jelgin and Denis Istomin in the final. A year later he was able to win the tournament in Almaty , again alongside Nedowjessow . Due to this success he achieved his best position so far with the 219th place in the world rankings.

In 2017 he made his debut for Kazakhstan in the world group relegation of the Davis Cup against defending champion Argentina . He played the doubles game with Nedowjessow, which they won against Máximo González and Andrés Molteni in four sets. Overall, Kazakhstan won 3-2 and thus made it into the world group.
