Wladyslav Serhijowytsch Manafow ( Ukrainian Владислав Сергійович Манафов ; English Vladyslav Manafov ; born April 22, 1993 in Kiev ) is a Ukrainian tennis player .

Career

Manafow, who started tennis when he was five, is already showing promising results on the ITF Junior Tour. He was particularly successful in doubles. He reached the semi-finals at the French Open with his partner Maxim Dubarenco in 2011 and only lost the final in doubles at the US Open that same year . In the junior world rankings, he achieved his best result with 16th place.

For the pros, Manafow played tournaments on the ITF Future Tour for the first time in 2011 and was placed in the world rankings at the end of the year . In 2012 he already won seven titles in doubles at Futures and was in 285th place at the end of the year, while he was still able to win a few matches in singles. In March 2012 he also made his debut for the Ukrainian Davis Cup team , for which he won his first match against Cyprus. In the following years until the end of 2016, the Ukrainian only played futures. There were also successes in individual cases. He was able to win 7 individual titles and steadily increased over the years, so that in 2016 he was in the top 400 for the first time. In doubles there are 26 titles and a place in the top 300. In 2016 he also played one of his first tournaments on the ATP Challenger Tour in Izmir . Here he immediately reached the semi-finals in doubles.

In 2017, Manafow played not only futures, of which he won another 10, but also increasingly Challengers, but did not make a breakthrough there, while in February the previous career high was reached with 327th place. In doubles he improved the following year. After two future titles at the beginning of 2018, thanks to the improved ranking, he played many challengers again and got his first title at this level in Qarshi with his partner Timur Chabibulin . A little later he reached further finals in Almaty and Fargʻona , both of which were lost. Nevertheless, he was at a new career high with rank 162 in doubles in June.
