Sebastián Miguel Miranda Córdova (born August 26, 1980 in Las Condes ) is a Chilean football player.
Career
Unión Española
In 1996 Miranda moved to the youth team of Unión Española , from where he was used in the first team in 1998. At the beginning of the 1999 season, the previous coach of Española, Guillermo Yávar, was replaced by Juvenal Olmos. This loaned Miranda to the third division club Deportivo Ñublense so that they could gain practical experience. It wasn't until 2001 that Miranda achieved the status of a regular player and was used regularly.
During Apentura 2005 Miranda was one of the team's leading players. In the same year he was loaned to Red Bull Salzburg for the second half of the 2005/2006 season, but was only able to play four league games there and fell short of Salzburg's expectations. In 2006, after graduating from Apentura, he switched to CD Universidad Católica .
Universidad Católica
After moving to Católica, he was in the first 11 games in the 2006 Clausura on the pitch. He was sidelined for the next nine months due to a knee injury. Only during the Clausura 2007 returned to the field and was able to complete 11 missions. After Universidad Católica was eliminated in the play-offs, he left the club.
Return to Española
After the 2007 season Miranda returned to Unión Española, was appointed regular player in defense and captain of the team. Here he stayed until the end of the 2010 season. In total, Miranda was used in 88 league games for Española.
Columbus crew
For the 2011 season, Miranda moved to the Columbus Crew in the North American Major League Soccer . He played his first game for Columbus on February 22, 2011 in the CONCACAF Champions League quarter-final against Real Salt Lake . His first appearance in a league game was on March 19 in the game against DC United . In total, he ran in 67 league games during the regular season and a play-off game for Columbus. He scored a goal. At the end of the 2012 season he left Columbus.
Return to Chile
For the 2013 season Miranda returned to the Chilean league. First he signed a contract with Everton , where he was used in 14 league games. In 2013 he moved once more to Unión Española. Here he completed a further 21 league games by 2014. Then Miranda ended his career.
