Sebastian Butz

Sebastian Butz (* 1988 ) is a German social psychologist and former actor .

Life

Sebastian Butz began an acting career at the age of 11. He played u. a. in the film "The fat years are over", the first German-language production since 1993, which took part in the competition for the Palme d' Or at the Cannes Film Festival . The film was also awarded the Bavarian Film Prize and the German Film Prize in silver. Netto , Robert Thalheim's feature film debut, in which Sebastian Butz plays the lead role alongside Milan Peschel, was celebrated by the critics. The film won the “Long Film Award ” at the Max Ophüls Prize film festival in Saarbrücken . At the BerlinaleIn 2005 the film received the Franco-German prize “Dialogue en perspective”, which is awarded to young German cinema. Netto also won the 2005 German Film Critics' Prize for best debut film and the Art Film Prize for best film at the first German Film Festival in Ludwigshafen.

After his acting career, Sebastian Butz took up studying psychology .
