Sebastian Schmidt (basketball official)

Sebastian Schmidt (* 1986 in Bad Honnef ) is a German basketball official .

career

Schmidt passed his Abitur in 2005  at the Schloss Hagerhof grammar school and then worked as a tutor in the junior division of Rhöndorfer TV 1912 as part of a voluntary social year . From 2008 to 2011 he was a manager at the Dragons Rhöndorf  , while at the same time completing an apprenticeship as an event manager . Schmidt rose to the position of general representative in the Rhöndorfer team, from 2012 to 2014 he held the positions of managing director of Dragons Rhöndorf and Rhöndorfer TV 1912.

In May 2015 he moved to the volleyball club VfB Friedrichshafen as managing director and stayed there until September 30, 2017. On October 1, 2017, he took up the post of managing director of the basketball Bundesliga club Basketball Löwen Braunschweig . In March 2019, his contract with Lower Saxony was extended until June 30, 2022. Following the 2019/20 season, Schmidt and the Braunschweig team split up prematurely.
