Sedat Pamuk

Sedat Pamuk (born July 18, 1952 in Istanbul / Turkey ) is a cabaret artist . The first German - Turkish solo cabaret artist from Freiburg also worked as an actor and wrote plays .

Career

When he came to Germany in 1980, Pamuk had already gained some experience as a mime in Turkish theaters. His unemployment in the Federal Republic he entered with the first self-written play Will Ayşe go to school? (1985), which marks his return to the stage as an actor. A first solo cabaret program followed with Deutsch Perfekt (1986).

Since 1990 Sedat Pamuks has been called the continuously updated and further developed program of guest workers . With his programs, Pamuk has renewed the traditional Turkish Meddach story and transferred it to the current German-Turkish world.

The off-stage artist, shy of the public, is often counted among the most important German-language cabaret artists due to his profound and subtle literary cabaret, although he has received little recognition in the media. Sonja-Ilonka Wagner's Comedy-Lexikon (1999) calls Pamuk's programs "humorous and rousing". Through them, "cultural exchange with the Turkish fellow citizens will be a great pleasure".
